Anejo box numbers

Recently, the last couple of years, on AF Anejo box's there have been numbers on the bottom of the box's. I am hoping they are some sort of box dating but don't know for certain. Does anyone what the numbers mean and how to correctly decipher the numbers?

Here's a small list of what I have seen.
46's- 210 030 & 128 031
49's- 412 030
55's- 128 031
60's- 210 030
77's- 210 031

Interesting. I'd love to know if anyone actually knows. I just assumed they were quality control or shipping related.

It's how many days you have (for that specific box) before the start of mold shows underneath the cedar sleeve! Example 1: You have only 30 days before the mold spores bloom but by day 210 you should be in the clear. :waving: I got nothing W.........

Though I'm still hoping AF likes the idea of box dates and starts soon.

I have 3 Anejo boxes all different sizes back home, I will post the numbers next time I am home to see if the numbers here on the west coast are any different because location.

Think it is more like "inspected by" type of thing actually. But definitely for qc purposes. Each "inspector" would have a designated #

It's definitely some sort of internal inventory or QC number. Pretty much every consumable product has one so if there is an issue, they can trace it back to the source of the problem
