ANother new toy

Picked up my AR-15 style rifle this weekend.

DPMS Panther Lite 16. chambered in 5.56

Got it at a gun show. Last one the guy had. They're getting tough to find in stock everywheres.

Came with a sling, 2 - 30rd magazines and a cleaning kit. Picked up 500 rds of ammo too so i can get this thing working right. Gonna pick up some optics and maybe a tactical rail so i can add a light and a bipod. probably gonna need some more 30rd mags too.

Cna't wait to shoot it!!

With the talk of the assault ban, I'd grab magazines first, they were the first item to go way up in price with the last ban.

yep, mag prices are already on the rise. they were 12.50 bout 2 years ago. now they start at 20. i'm guessin they'll be in excess of 35 in a few months. Not a bad investement at all if that prediction holds true. pretty good returns potnetially.

I'll most certainly be buying several more.

Justify it this way.

Whenever Obama's crew re-enacts the assualt weapons ban, your gun will double in value overnight. That's a SOLID investment. You can't get returns like that anywhere except the lottery...and the lottery is a gamble. It is absolutely inevetibale that the ban will be re-enacted. I suspect within 6 months, but it will indeed happen, no doubt about that. You can't have a socialist regime and let the people have guns!!!:gangfire: everybody knows that!!!

Oh, and i was wanting the Stag Arms model 6. Sweet gun, but couldn't find it anywhere. I found it in .308, but the cost of ammo for that is crazy expensive, at least for me anyway.

box of 100 .308 = $99.99
box of 500 .223 = $169.99

pretty easy decision right there

Yep, gonna go talk to my bros buddy who was a sniper back int he day. gonna get some extra parts upon his recommendation. firing pins, springs, etc.

I agree after the ban comes into effect. All guns, parts and Mag prices will sky rocket.
