  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Any body still doubting the SEC?

First hoops and now football...damn, that's amazing!

Folks in other parts of the country don't realize how wicked the SEC is! Having to play Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, LSU, Auburn, Alabama, South Carolina, Arkansas, etc. week after week will definitely prepare you for bowl season!

I was hoping Florida would win just because OSU knocked off UM. But I was not expecting an ass whoopin like that. I was hoping it would be a great game...but now the Big Ten is just plain embarassing! After USC knocked off UM, OSU got whooped, and Notre Dame lost....it's a sad year for The Big Ten.

Guys in my Cleveland office say that someone had to save Lloyd Carr's job and it fell to the Buckeyes.

That was a true trip to the woodshed for Ohio State. USC did the same thing to Michigan; a team that everyone was crying for to have a second shot at the title. The whole rating thing is greatly out of whack. The coaches and sports writers weight their ratings most heavily on won/lost record and score differential against opponents. They do not take into consideration the strength of the division and the Big Ten was exposed this year as a true pretender. This was the best year yet for the playoff argument. I would love to see USC and Boise State go at it with the winner playing Florida. That, my friends, would be a true test as to who is reallly number one. . .

I have read a lot of the analyses the last couple of days and a lot of writers still think Ohio State and Michigan just had bad days. Bunk! They seem unwilling to admit that there is a huge disparity in the quality of the leagues. Florida, USC, Boise State and LSU exposed that differential. IMHO, the Big "XX" leagues are highly overrated, as is the favorite independent, ND.
