So my brother is getting married, Now wedding is in September any lounges you recommend? Now my Bro and his buddies aren't really smokers so nothing too pricey would be preferred.

I'm sure our MI brothers will chime in. But I've used Cigar Aficionado's "Where to smoke" app. So far it's helped me find some shops I never knew existed in my travels to other states.

Don Yeyo is where I go. Great selection, unpretentious, nice staff, and a relaxing sitting area. But it's not a 'lounge', since they don't serve booze; unless you BYO.

Le Cigar is a heavy Davidoff merchant and the clientele is douchy (IMO). But it has a decent drink list and it's lounge.

There's another cigar lounge, new, but I haven't been there yet.

All three are located on Michigan Ave within 1-2 miles from each other. Maybe do a cigar-crawl to all three. To end the night, head further east on Michigan Ave to BT's Executive Lounge.

If it's an option, get a hotel room at one of the cigar-friendly casinos in Downtown Detroit. La Casa for cigars, tons of pubs, great food, and entertainment. Depending when you go, maybe even catch a Tigers/Lions/Red Wings game.

Warning: don't not go to Bouzouki's

This is dead on the other bar is Nar Bar owned by the same people as le cigar. It's more of a party thing in there so music drinks and you can smoke.

Thanks for the input, yeah looking online Le Cigar definitely gives off that vibe, and Don Yeyo looks like a good spot for our motley crew. We're staying at the Courtyard Marriott it's not that far from Michigan Ave. but I'm sure we'll probably be making a run to one of the casinos as well. Trying to get them to go to a tigers game but seems I'm the only baseball fan, and everyone's leaving that sunday so No lions game. Be nice catch a tigers day game head over to the casino then end the night at La Casa. I'm curious why BT's and not Bouzouki's?

Interesting but i just don't think my brother would go for it. I'm always down for a road trip but pretty sure the wife would veto it just because we might get stranded and yada yada yada miss the wedding. I didn't peg her for a bridezilla but OMG as the wedding gets closer she's getting a little bit "crazier"

Bouzouki is the lowest grade of strip club you can find. And not in a good trashy way, just terrible

Talent. But maybe I was too quick to dis BZ Greektown since it's been over 12 years I was a patron. (coincidently the # of years being married). BZ has been recently remodeled and maybe another BOTL-Det has a more recent experience and can provide a review.

As far as Clubs go BT's was my wife and I's go to spot for years before moving to flint. Decent friendly girls that appreciated women in there. Quick to hang out if they wanted to even if we wernt buying dances right away. Gotta remember city of detroit has a no touch law. I dont know how much theyre following it but We wernt going to waste our time and find out.
As for cigars I dont know much. I didnt smoke when I lived down there. I know Jenuwine is building a lounge in greektown and I love their Royal Oak location. So keep an eye out to see if its done.
