Nice thread! I'm a big Mike Patton fan. Strangely enough, the only one of his projects that I'm lukewarm on is FNM. :dunno:

I really love Fantomas and his work with John Zorn. He's been working on that damn Mondo Cane project for over a year now. When the hell am I going to get my CD and/or DVD?

When I checked this on my iPhone yesterday, I didn't see the great assortment of videos you posted...you really picked out some good one's that high-light his versatility.

I've seen Patton and Rahzel together at their first performance in NY at the Knitting Factory...never was I blown away more than I was that day.

ps: if anybody knows where I can nab a good copy of that Mondo Cane performance, let me know...I have a crappy quality one...

I'm pleasantly suprised to see this many Patton fans! I figured most folks here wouldn't dig his stuff.

I've got to say, his Mr. Bungle stuff is by far my favorite. To be able and put together so many random sounds and thoughts together and produce the music he does blows me away. I've been into music and played drums and other purcussion instruments for several years and I wish I had 1/16th of the creativity he does!

dk_fxn: I'm jealous!! Also, my copy of the Mondo Cane performance pretty much sucks too! A better copy has to exist, but where I don't know.

+1 Most of the time when I mention Mike Patton ppl ask "who?" When they do know who he is, very few have heard of Mr. Bungle

HUGE fan. Mondo Cane is my favorite thing he has done recently. I'm a big fan of Italian pop music, and movie tunes from the 60's and 70's, so to have Mike Patton covering an Ennio Morricone song is friggin' awesome.

I'm split on Patton. I like when he is under the direction of someone else as I feel his own creativeness can push on the side of useless.
