Use what you have.

1. build an inexpensive light tent

2. get a cheap small Amazon.com: Sunpak 620-080 8001UT Tripod with Extra Quick-Release Mounting Plate: Camera & Photo

3. depending on your camera you will have the ability to use specific aperture, shutter speed and iso settings. Reading a few short tutorials will have you on your way.

4. experiment with macro mode if your camera features it

Check youtube.com and search for "product photography". There are a TON of easy to understand videos that demo how to do what you are after.
