The only time I have a coffee problem is when people make bad coffee and I have to pretend to like it just to be polite, other than that as long as there is a coffee in my hand I'm good go.

So, if you use the pot as a cup (because that's all it really is right?), you would be better off because then you would only be having one cup instead of two
