Thanks for the welcome. Hope it was a smooth trip home. Also, I hope the trip was good. Nashville has some pretty decent cigar shops

Welcome from Oklahoma man! So what are the “few core brands” that you’re sticking close to?

Thank you. Well for the most part, I move towards maduros, oscuro and so on. But for now I'm smoking

Perdomo: Champagne Noir, Small Batch Maduro, Lot 23 Habano

AJ Fernadez: New World, San Lotano Maduro

Espinosa: 601 Blue Label (Maduro)

My Father: El Centurion

Curivari: Gloria De Leon (Natural), Seleccion Privada Maduro

PDR: El Trovador Maduro, 1878 Capa Reserva Oscuro

Flores Y Rodriguez: Cabinet Reserve Maduro.

I just keep rotating all of them.

But, there are other brands I like and enjoy

There’s some good stuff listed there, especially the AJ stuff that you mentioned. That guy just has talent. You may give the Illusione Maduro and Southern Draw Jacob’s Ladder a try if you haven’t already. Fantastic dark smokes.

Thanks for saying so. I appreciate the suggestions too. Funny you said Illusione. I've been checking those out. Also, I've heard nothing but good about Southern Draw

It’s interesting to me how my own preferences seem to change in phases of sorts. I’m sort of gravitating away from the dark full bodied stuff and smoking a lot of medium bodied cigars lately. I’ve been on an El Gueguense and Fuente Rosado kick for a month or so. Illusione oroginal documents will always have a place in my humi.

Don’t get me wrong, I’ll still have the occasional “kick me in the jimmy” full bodied smoke from time to time (especially if pairing with one my by beloved bourbons or stouts), but by and large it’s still mostly “hey diddle diddle right down the middle” for me these days.
