Ashes

Just wanted to know more about "ash" itself. I have seen all sorts of ash from my cigars, from black to snow white. Also, they way the ash is, light to solid.

Depends upon the blend inside the cigar itself. Some will say that the color of ash is even consistent with how moist the cigar is or isn't.

Origin of tobacco, amount of oils, age are only a few along with many other factors.

I understand that the mineral content of the soil the tobacco was grown in has a bit to do with the color of the ash and how tight or loose the ash is.
