I saw these going cheap, so took a chance on 5. I've never had an Asylum before, but I found the candela/maduro barber pole wrapper intriguing. I smoked one OTT today. Good, solid construction, and perfect burn. It started off with tons of pepper, which quickly transitioned to a nutty flavor, with notable sweetness. The sweet/nuttiness lasted to about the half way point, where it was replaced by dark roasted coffee/chocolate. All in all, a very enjoyable smoke. I wish I had grabbed more when I had the chance.

BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE
Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Personally, I feel barber poles are a bit of a novelty and I have fallen for them with mixed results in the past. The 08 Camacho Liberty were good, but those ITC I bought were less than desirable. I wanted to grab some of the new LFD Mysterio but they never made it this way.

I put it next to my lfd diggers for in case I need to kill 3 hours, or if I want to hold down a tarp or keep a door open.
I'm referring to the 5" x 50. I don't do those ridiculous "jaw breaker" sizes in any cigar.
