  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

My B&M is very traditional about this. Never mix aromatic and english. Blah. Blah..

I personally like to mix burley and lane 1q and then a pinch of Latakia (25/75/Pinch To Grow an Inch). The mix I am smoking now is just a mix of aromatics and english that I didn't even keep track, I went on a Chef Ramsey tirade and just started throwing crap together. Guess what.. It's awesome!!! Which really burns my butt because I will never replicate it again...

I do like to experiment a lot, I have a friend that works at the shop so I do a lot of sampling. :D

I tend to smoke things "pure"... but when I get down to the last bit in a bag or tin where I dont think it will be enough to make a full bowl.. Ill sometimes put a couple of things together and just see how it turns out..

I did a 75/25 mix of mac b's virginia #1 with a bit of sutliff black swan a few weeks ago.. it wasnt bad.. just wasnt as good IMO as each of them are on their own...

I like to take Virginias that I have and measure out about 2 ounces. Then I takes some of the whole leaf Perique I have from 1997 and cut up about a 1/4 ounce of that - put it in a big mixing bowl to properly mix it together. Then, I put it into a ziplock baggie and stuff it in a 1/2 pint mason jar for a few months to meld. Have done it with Old Gowrie, Hamborger Veermaster, Gawith, Hoggarth Full VA Flake, and some others.
