Oh bacon, how do I love thee? Let me count the ways...

For those of you who have an iPad, check out the Better Bacon Book. It's has some great recipes (or they appear to be – I've not yet tried them) as well as methods for curing your own bacon. The friend of mine who gave me the book has used made his own bacon and says there's nothing as great tasting as homemade.

I grow my own hogs and beef, hence my avatar, hogfarmer. Ain't Nothin' like home made bacon.There's never enough. I try to grow the long hogs, i have a lcocal 4H guy that supplys me with amazing animals. I promise not to tell you about the sausage. OMG !! cold smoked is the best.

If I were to Purchase bacon on line I would go to a Mangalitsa provider. Wonderful fat, meltls inyour mouth.
