Like many others, this is one of my favorites. I decided to dig into them tonight for a treat. When I slid back the lid and exposed the cigars to light, they were sparkling with early crystals of plume :smt098 These things are from a cab from May 04!

:smt012 Plume on '04s? Suspicious!!! I recommend sending one my way to verify these are not older cigars in disguise. :p

Yes, I too have seen a "dusting" of crystal like plume on some 04s. Not sure if this qualifies as plume or not, but it sure is nice and the ones I have smell great!

Barry,

That sounds great. I just opened a 04 cab the other day, no plume, but great taste.

plume on 04? didnt think that possible as plume comes from age....could it be mold?....the only plume ive seen was on sticks with 7 or 8 yr.s age on them.
Definetly gorgeous little crystals that shine so pretty :) My humidor is in great shape at 70 deg. /65% hum.

The cab I had just finished was from Feb. 04 (no bands/no crystals). This cab is 3 months newer and smoking even better than the last. Maybe I got lucky and got the right one. I know that I'll be sorry when it's gone :smt022

These things are smoking like a Mag with 3 or 4 years on them :smt110 I should have bought 2!

I need to check my FEB 04 box. Since it has no bands, I put it back, hopefully for 5 years or more. We'll see how I do.
