  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Beer trades...anyone up for it?

Not so much they won't ship out of CA but they very likely won't ship to PA. I tried ordering wine from CT and it was a no go because of our archaic liquor laws in PA. Anyhow I'm sure a brother in CA can hook you up.

PS the aforementioned beer "flying mouflan" from me will be released later this month if anyone is interested in trying. I'll buy a case of 12oz bottles if I can if not it'll be 22s.

no seriously, besides the archaic PA laws, the one place in Cali that had a ton of PtE wouldn't ship anywhere outside of CA...regardless of whether the destination state allowed incoming beer shipments.

make sure to throw in some spotted cow just to get them jealous :)
New Glaruous has an unplugged series where they make oneoff batches. They just released a Berliner Weiss. It's two types of grapes combined with wheat malt. It's tart but very light and bubbly like champagne.

A friend of mine started a brewery called Os'o http://www.osobrewing.com/Home.php .

The winters in WI stink but there are quite a few Micro Brewerys.

I'm checked Troegs to see if the Flying Mouflan was in bottles yet but they said it'd be another week or two. I really want to try this barley wine.

I can pick up a case of their Nugget Nectar if anyone wants to trade for some brews or wait for the Flying Mouflan barley wine. The nugget nectar is an IPA but they call it an imperial amber. Very hoppy but delicious has a slight fruit character to it.

I have a feeling I am going to be in the minority as I like Porters, Stouts, Reds, Ambers, and Hefeweizen beers. I've never been much into the IPA's and real hoppy beers.

I was able to get 2 bottles of Pliny the Elder. I have one more place to check. If they don't have any I'd still be interested in trading the 2 I have. Preferably for something harder to get in Cali or maybe for some home brew?

I love Stouts and Porters also. Though I prefer IPA at times. Yesterday I had a Black IPA, was quite tasty.

I would be interested in doing a beer trade.

Can you get Dogfish Head Palo Santo Marron? It's a 12% ABV brown ale, and I have some home brew to trade of course. Let me know.

John, I have that beer dude, I was offering up for a trade to a west coast brother for some Pliny the Elder.

Speaking of home brew my Pliney clone recipe is about ready for drinking.

Topping the beer trades thread.......

I'm still looking for a few bottles of Pliny the Elder to compare against the clone recipe I bought/made. I like it a ton but I doubt it's anywhere near the real thing. I need to do a grain batch of this soon.

Looks like you have the Pliny the Elder search taken care of. If you want a couple more bottles let me know. I still have 2 left. I'd be interested doing a trade for some of your homebrew. If you want some more Pliny or another beer let me know. If you're good, no problem.
