Well they say there is a first for everything. Really wasn't looking forward to this one. For our anniversary we went to Puerto Rico. I splurged on a box of local made sticks. Got back and opened the box to put them in my humidor ( i only have a loaner 100 stick) only to find half of them with holes. Ugh i am on a beyond tight budget and this sunk my heart to say the least.

Yup, double freezer bag with as much air removed as possible and the at least 72 hours in the freezer. Right now would be the appropriate time to do this. If they have been around your other cigars then I would just freeze them all.

I don't freeze as much as I did before (lazy), but I never noticed a difference in flavor or anything. I always move from freezer to fridge for another 24 hours, and then back to the humi for at least two weeks.

I wrap a towel around them and put them in a cooler for 24 hours and let them slowly warm back up. Then into regular storage. Never noticed any problem with taste or burn.
