What's the best aged stick out there? What I mean by that, is which cigar, vitola and marca, of regular production, gets the most benefit from aging. You get to pick ONE!!!!

What say you?

From my experience, I have indulged in some 2000 H.Upmann Sir Winstons that were paradise. I vote for those.

I think the Sancho Panza brand as a whole really picks up after 5 plus years. It may even get better past 10 but I have yet to try a SP that old.

I'm kind of surprised I haven't heard RASS or PSD4 yet. From everything I've heard about these sticks I expected these to be at the top of the list. :dunno:

I have to say for the 5 and 10 year brackets either RA 898v or RASS. No cigar makes the transition they do IMO. Night and day. They are as close to unsmokeable as any Havana could be when young but blossum into possibly the best option in their respective vitola. The 898 obviously consistantly develops strength due to its packaging, so at 10 years it is a strong cigar, but not so that it would hinder who would be able to smoke it IMHO.

One of the oldest cigars i had was a CoRo, pre-gold label. I haven't had too many "aged" sticks but that was one of the best i've ever had.

I would agree with Kurt that RASS is a good long term bet. Just had one with about a year on it and it was nearly unsmokable except for the last 1- 1 1/2". From what I've had they make a dramatic transformation as it ages.

Well, I think either party or RA 898 will be great 5-10 because of A-they are great, and B-packaging
And no one has said anything about the Punch SS2, according to MRN, they take the longest to come around but are supposed to be worth the wait. I have a cab from 02 taking a loooooong nap atm
