  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Best Tatuajes?

Group,

Ok, I am trying to find a few more Goto sticks, and I know I like Tatuaje, I have some Franks and some Blacks that I LOVE, but they are kinda hard to get ahold of, if you know what I mean

So, I am looking to see what yall think are the top 5 Tatuaje, so I can know what to buy 5packs of and try...

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks!

~brooks
We can make lists all day, but your best bet is to get some samplers and smoke em. I'd list the size you know you like and get some from the Cabinet series, the Havana VI series, etc. The Blacks and limited stuff you'll want to hold off on, you first want to get your daily smoke down. For instance, if you like a Robusto, grab a 5'er of some Noella's, Angeles, etc...and note the differences of what you like, dislike and go from there.

#20...Yes I realize that. I wasn't saying they were the same, simply that by all being highlighted on "Tatuajecigars.com" it is not outlandish to lump them all in the same generic "Tat" category. Again, refering to Tatuaje as the company name, not the lines of cigars that do say "Tatuaje" in their name.

I'd guess most people on this board and elsewhere would not think it crazy to refer to the Tatuaje Cigars Inc. company when talking about the La Ricky or Cab., certianly all the retailers do. And I don't think this is incorrect, again, in general terms.

It's just an issue of semantics. No big deal.

Yep, I know, I just did not want to go crazy on 5vers if there were specific ones that everyone here loved :)

Thanks so much for the help!

I know the the Noellas sure get mentioned a lot. If you're looking for a single stick to get a 5er of, that might be the one.

And based on what I've read on this forum, I think the "brown label" is closer to the Frank and Black than the other labels (correct me if I'm wrong, please).

Brown Band - Says Tatuaje

Red Band - Says Tatuaje

White Band - Says Tatuaje

Cabaiguan - Nope, doesn't say Tatuaje

LaRiqueza - Nope, doesn't say Tatuaje

But yet they all carry the Tatuaje Cheveron, or flor de' lee or what ever the hell that little design is. Signifying Tatuaje. Just like every Fuente has a distiguishing AF some where on the logo. Different cigars same company.
like any of you guys are that damn critical. You mix them together all the damn time anyway. Now we start being critical. WOW.

lol, I know they are different blends. I'm just saying that it's not insane to list the La Ricky or Cab in a list of favorite Tats (taking "Tatuaje" as a general term describing the company, not the brown label, etc.). I'm sure that many would not consider the Series P a Tatuaje either, but in general terms it still is.
Dude, The series P has the work Tatuaje on the band. So yes I think most would say it's a TAT.

But we are definitely splitting hairs.

Hey Brooks, don't get deterred by the whole "Is La Riqueza a Tatuaje?" All you gotta know is this stick is a Pete Johnson masterpiece. It's great if I do say so myself. Another one nobody's mentioned that is a Tatuaje of sort is the El Triunfador. It's great as well.

PM me your addy, I seem to have something with your name on it.

As a go to? Tatuaje Angeles are great and quick to smoke; but the Noellas are amazing! The West Coast is incredible as well.

Reserva SW (can't believe it hasn't been mentioned yet! probably the best Tat)
RC 233
And apparently La Riquezas and Cabaiguans don't count, BUT the Riqueza #1 and Cabaiguan imperial corona are spectacular.

Exclude the special editions, since they are hard to get. I am a Tat whore, so I will smoke all of them any chance I get.

My top 5 are:

Noellas
Especialles
J21
La Riqueza #4 (corona gorda)
Taino

These cigars cover my smoking time well and show off great flavor
