Oh, you folks are going to have fun with this one!
A wonderful offering from this Central African country only recently re-emerging as a producer of premium coffees.
Previous cupping reviews have reported flavors ranging from floral, chocolate and strawberry to caramel, oreo cookie, vanilla and cinnamon. My first encounter with it brought the definite chocolate and vanilla of an oreo cookie (really!) from the freshly ground beans. Once brewed it changed to deep, dark cherry and chocolate. This coffee is reported to morph from day to day so who knows what tomorrow will bring! Relax, take a sip, close your eyes and let your senses wander!
Panama Carmen Estate - Rainforest Alliance Certified
Here we have another excellent selection with - guess what? - more cherry! No chocolate this time but a very lively floral/cherry fruitiness, some nuts, excellent body and so, so smooth mouthfeel. Bold enough to get you going in the morning but refined enough to cap off a fine dinner. Definitely a winner!
