  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

    Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Black label lighters?

I had been looking at getting a lighter from black label for a while. The flat flame on the dictator and el presidente lines looked cool haha. But does anybody use one of their lighters? I finally bought the belvedere model and it's coming in the mail. Just wanted to know if their product is any good.

Do not have one, but just took a peek on the intrawebs, and they look cool! Does 'flat flame' mean anything in terms of the type/shape of the flame?

Yeah supposedly the flame is actually a horizontal line (aka flat haha) that allows for better toasting of cigars? May be a marketing thing but I was curious if anybody had direct experience with one. The belvedere has a fold out guillotine cutter. Looking forward to seeing how quality that is.

You will love it! One of my all time favorite flames I have done a review on was the El Presidente. I would include a picture, but it's watermarked. Does not feel right to upload...The flame reminded me of a paint brush for painting pictures. Enjoy your new lighter, be sure to report back!

Yeah i got the belvedere in the mail a couple days with it haven't gotten to smoke yet to test it out but i can't wait.(damn the common cold) Really well built. I thought the cutter would be flimsy but its really sturdy. the El Presidente or dictartor will be the next buy if this one proves to be good haha. Glad to hear that the Flat flame works well i was wondering about that.....
