Black Pearl

Has anyone tried one of the Black Pearls?

During one of my first visits to a decent cigar shop since graduating from philly blunts I bought one of these on a recommendation but haven't had a chance to do the right thing yet.

I have had a couple they are ok would not buy a box. They are cheap to at ci i think.

if you try a black pearl, go maduro - naturals in my opinion were not that great...

The Morado Toro with the purple band is pretty good.

Smoked many Black Pearl Rojo's for taste and value but thought the Morado was just OK with a big price tag. I agree, passed on a box.

These cigars used to be relatively inexpensive ($3-$5 range) then the word got out. Too bad.

The Morado is a very nice stick IMHO.

Well...it DID star in Cigar Aficionado's Top 25. (2007? Don't remember well)

Yup. That would be around the right time frame. $6.50 for the Morado is still a good price.

Black Pearl Rojos are a great smoke...Similar to the Tatuaje Havana VI in certain ways. The Rojo has a fruity, black cherry taste in the background, with some cedar and earth in theforground. Good value, well constructed.
