First look: this cigar has great construction. The wrapper is a beautiful rich brown and velvety to the touch. The cigar is firm but not too firm and I don't feel any knots. It has tight seems and visible veins.
Prelight: this stick smells like barnyard and hay. The prelight draw is spicy with a little bit of a hay taste. The draw is tight but manageable.
Strength: medium-full
Body (flavor): medium
Burn time: 1hr
Size: 5/12x 54ish. My guess would be a robusto.
1st 3rd
The first third is a plesant mix of sweet molasses, cedar, and earth. The retrohail is a mild pepper. Lots of grey smoke from the draw but not much off the foot.
The ash is powdery looking and grey. It holds for about a full third.
So far this isn't a very complex cigar but its good.
2nd 3rd
About halfway into the second third most of the sweetness dropped off and the cigar was basically a smooth tobacco, cedar, and earth. I wasn't getting much else out of it. Although the pepper was stronger on the retrohail and the vitamin N was stepping up.
Final 3rd
The flavors stayed the same as the second third. Tobacco, cedar, and earth. The stength also was a bit more than I'm used to. I don't know if it was because I smoked it before eating dinner (even though I had a big lunch and I'm not usually bothered by strength) but I started to get a little uncomfortable toward the first quarter of the final third Lol. Other than that it was pretty enjoyable.
I smoked it down to about an inch an a quarter just because I wanted to give a full review.
Overall I would score this cigar a 75/100. Its not a bad cigar. Flavors were simple but enjoyable. Just a little strong for me. The construction was great. The burn was very good even outside on a windy night. I would smoke this again. Just after a meal next time. As for my guess I have no clue. Haha.
