garret, welcome to the board! you may want to roll through the introductions forum, and give a more formal shout out to everyone first.

also, this is USUALLY a blind trade, to establish trader rating (TR). while some sponsors may take requests, this is usually the training wheels section. then, after, you may want to post this in an ISO thread, and see who bites. o)

EDIT: just to clarify, this is totally the right thread for your first trade, and i am sure you will be put in the queue for next n00b in need of sponsorship.

roll back a page, my friend, post #4783. CAteacher usually edits and reposts with the current pairings and availability every day or two. i was just assigned a vict... initiate, and was the last free sponsor, BUT these things turn around fairly quickly. unless someone pops in to volunteer sponsorship, one of us will be back in rotation in the next couple few, and will PM you. o)
