bought a new lighter today and already problems?

Bleed it and stick it in the freezer for ½ hour. Then fill it with some good butane, and give it another ½ hour before you try to light it. If that doesn’t work take it back and demand your money back.

I did that with my good ole trusty colibri, but my mistake was using a lower quality butane. Which as you know is a no, no with an higher end lighter. So needless to say it was spitting, sputtering etc..etc..I had to drain freeze like you said then use a higher *octane* LoL....it works Ok, but I think it may still have crappy residue? Bottom line lesson learned!
