Bought my First Single Malt

Hey Todd...I've been onto Scotch for a couple of years now but was in the same boat as you where bourbon is concerned. A coworker recently recommended Maker's Mark so I picked up a bottle and I'm quite likin' it. For your consideration.

Gonna have to give MM a shot. Tried some Knob Creek and Woodford reserve over the holidays.

I liked the Woodford much more then the Knob Creek.

...Macallan was a good first choice. Glennlivet or Glennfiddich would be fine as well... After Macallan I would steer you towards Oban (my favorite) ....

I agree. You might also like one of the Glenmorangies. I bought my son a bottle of Dalmore Cigar Blend (couldn't resist the name!) for Christmas, and he likes it a lot.

I have wanted to try the Dalmore Cigar Blend. That and a nice Sherry or Brandy, but I have not quite learned how to hold up the pinky yet.

I just got back from the liquor store and they wanted like $40 for that scotch and I don't think it came with any glass. Which store did you go to? Maybe you could pick one up for me.

I ended up getting a bottle of the Dalmore cigar malt and its pretty damn tasty. :bottle:

I tried dewar's white label once and it reminded me of mouth wash.

Now I have the Cigar Malt and my co-worker gave me a bottle of 12 yr Macallan I think it was.
