Bourbon From a Specific Year

So, for some reason, I got this crazy idea to find 2 bottles of bourbon. The Reason, is that I want to gift a bottle to each of my children in the future, that was bottled the year they were born. This would have been much easier if I would have come up with the idea sooner. So, anyone got any tricks for finding bourbon from specific years?

Blanton's or Old Scout both have bottling dates. I have a Blanton's and a CoRo box ready for my son. Depending on how far you are going back it may not be as difficult to find as you think.

1997 and 2000. I'm kind of late to the game.

Ha. That is pretty late. You might be better off finding a barreling date of 97 and 2000 versus a bottling date. Be prepare to spend some money if you do find those dates. I'm guessing a minimum of $100 per bottle. Depending on the juice of course.

Bottle spot or FB groups. FB is your best bet.

Booker's has a bottling date label, and age...so you can back into the distill date.

Point me in the direction of 20 yr old bourbon please. I haven't located any yet, but I'm operating on limited internet access throughout the day.

Well there are plenty of them and not just 20... 21 23 and you have time to make arrangements to get the year that would correspond with their births the bottle of whichever you choose if you have a relationship with your local

Pretty cool tho you'd be able to say the bourbon in this bottle is from the year you were born instead of bottled
