Boveda Magnetic Mounting Plate

I currently have the Boveda magnetis mounting plate fixed to the top of my old humidor and want to removed the adhesive back from the lid of the old humidor. Have any of you done this?

Are you trying to decide between chemicals and heat? Try a hair dryer and putty knife before throwing acetone or alcohol on it.

Why not leave it? Just curious. You could use it to mount a hygrometer.
