Brass Tobacco Travel Tin

I found out about these metal(available in brass, copper, and nickel silver) on Instagram( @ron.dean.142 ). Made of solid brass. Perfect to go with a brass Zippo. LOL.

I had a couple of them, the silver ones rust fast with tobacco against them. I dont know how the brass ones would work. I figured I should have kept it in a baggie inside the can.

Back in the day when skoal came in cardboars tins us countryboys would buy cans linke these.

Worked great out in the heat when sweat would make the cans fall apart in your pocket. I didnt even know thwse were still around.

I'm going to use the brass tin for pipe tobacco. Much cooler than a ziplock baggie.

Yea, sorry Kelvin. That's not what I thought it was.

Back in the late 70s early 80s we had plastic cans that were airtight and I think watertight that we took the lids off our dip can and dropped into these containers. I say your post and it reminded me of them. A quick Google and I thought I found them. Thought if I had one of those old cans it would be perfect for the bike.

I need a better system for that reason alone. My tobacco gets destroyed in the car fast.

Yes, it has a tight seal, but I'll still throw a rubber band over it as extra insurance.
