Starting this thread in response to the earlier discussion on them.

I offered up to review them and Gary Heathcott graciously sent me for testing.

I received the package yesterday. Here is what he sent:

A brochure, CD of cuban music (love it), and a bag of 4 cigars. The cigars have been placed in my Avallo sitting at 65% Humidity. I'll let them sit a week or so to balance out after shipping before I do any smoking.

I will update this post once smoking commences. :smokingbo

Thanks to Gary for the package. Can't wait to try them.

I received my package today, as well. Mine came with a DVD about the company, and 3 cigars. The rest the same. I can't wait to hear the CD. I also am letting them sit before I spark up. One of them feels like frickin' satin, on the wrapper... Nice.

I got my samples two days ago. I am letting them sit as well for a week or two before I do my review for CigarInspector.com.

I had planned on smoking one of these today to start my review, but unfortunately allergies had a better plan for me.

I'll wait until I can taste again, my head isn't swimming on it's own and my body doesn't hurt.

I promise I'll get to these Gary. :cursing:

Updated - Finally feel well enough give these a go.

Pre-Light:

Wrapper was silky smooth w/ very light veining.
I picked up some Aromatic Tobacco and Butter.
Cigar was firm with a slight give.

First Third:

Toasted the foot prior to cutting and then cut w/ Xikar Dbl G cutter, finished lighting.

Draw was smooth, slightly firm/tight with good flow.

Picked up a bit Bittersweet taste along with Cloves and White Pepper, just a touch of cedar.
Mouth feel was smooth with not a lot of smoke.

Second Third:

The bittersweetness remained while the white pepper left and was more of a nutmeg smoothness and a touch of Molasses.

Last Third:

Still bittersweet along w/ a touch of Cocoa with the nutmeg remaining. Just a tad bit of Black Pepper at the back of the throat.

Mouth feel remained light during the entire smoke, good mouth feel the entire time as well. Burn maintained and any unevenness I attribute to the light breeze outside.

Conclusion:

Good smoke.
I had no expectations as I wanted to remain objective and simply report on what I encountered.
I enjoyed the smoke, the medium body and how easy it was to smoke this stick.

I look forward to round two in a day or two. :chat:
