I agree, i had never really thought about it, but you do take a lot of lung fulls of smoke with a hookah. It just feels like less because it is so smooth.

I know there's a ton more smoke from hookahs than from cigarettes, but there's tons of other variables to consider. Tars, nic contents, chemicals, etc.
My best friend's mom stopped smoking cigarettes after 30 years and now smokes hookah for a couple hours each day. Nothing else changed in her lifestyle, and she's off ALL of her heart/blood pressure meds, off of her asthma meds, and her health is noticably better.
I won't for a second say that hookah is not bad for you, but there's a lot of variables that get neglected/intentionally left out during these studies.

yeah but glass is cleaner, easier to clean, and can be decorated as a piece of art. However, you are right. It is a sad day when some kook knocks a $400 bong of the coffee table onto the floor. Not that I have acctually ever seen a bong, that woould be illeagal. I've only seen tobacco water pipes personally. :halfgrinw
