Just got my current issue of CA

Usually i look forward to seeing the CA list of bargain smokes. This year i'm very dissappointed. Is it me or is it strange that all 40 or so smokes comes from about 5 manufactures?!?! Was up wit dat?!?!

THis only futhers my suspicions that they are indeed biased based upon financial contribution. You're tellin me that those were the only brands with something that made the grade.

Phooey!!!

And the top 25 list...not overly impressed with that one either.

just a rant. thanks for listening

Hey Gale try some Mayorga cigars. They're made with Nic tobacco and I think are great especially for the price. Hell I might have even sent you one at some point.

I have a couple that Tedski sent me a year and a half ago. They were at least a year old when he sent them, if I remember correctly. I liked the one I smoked.

+1 for the Mayorga. Fond memories of the maduro torp. When I have more room (I feel as though I've said this a lot lately), I'll be getting some of these.

You know come to think of it the Mayorga cigars I've had in the past were the "hi-octane" version that come in a triangle shaped box of 27 cigars. Each set of three is packaged in it's own triangular coffin with a red band and then all nine of them are stuffed in the double hinged box. I can get a box of the natural robustos for around $35 but the "hi-octane" go for $80ish. Not that $80 is too much considering the price I've paid for some cigars but $35 is obviously less than half.

I only bring this up because I wonder if they're the same cigars as the standard natural Mayorga line. I don't want to go recommending a cigar I haven't smoked, now if they're the same but with different packaging then by all means buy them.

As well I really have not heard much of the Casa Magna, has anyone tried them. I thought last years top 25 list was a very good one, I am not too impresed with this one.
