  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Who here has tried the Cabaiguan Maduros? I'm curious as to how they stack up to the regular cabiaguans in terms of flavors.

I'm not a huge maduro fan. I've been trying and trying, but it seems that i just prefer a sungrown, oscuro or even a connecticut wrapper.

Are the Cab maddies going to smoke and taste more like a traditional connetictu broadleaf maduro or will they still have the predominant cabaiguan flavor that i love so much.

Just so you know, i've been struggling with the fact that i'm not a huge fan of the riquezas either. I feel like such a traitor saying that, seeing as i'm such a huge fan of pete's, but the truth is the truth.

How are the cab maddies?

They have that Maduro sweetness, but I still taste the Cab in them. I think they are OK, not great

FYI, I do not think the La Requezas are Maduros, just dark conneticut broad leaf. I have about the same opinion on these, good but not great, but the few I have had seemed to have construction issues...

Description

Box of 20 (5 5/8 x 46)

An upcoming release in the Cabaiguan line, the Maduro features a Dark Natural Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper - giving this vitola yet another different experience in the Cabaiguan blend. Shades in the wrapper will vary as this is a natural wrapper. The name Cabaiguan Maduro is simply to distinguish it from the regular Cabaiguan line.

A ribbon holds the bundle of 20 cigars, stacked in 4 rows of 5 each, which is then wrapped in paper and packaged in a beautiful hinged box stained extra dark for this release. You'll notice the reusing of the Guapo boxes as this is such a small run. Only 300 boxes of each size have been produced so far. Full production is slated for Mid 2009.

Rolled in Esteli, Nicaragua at the Tabacalera Cubana factory. A product of the El Rey factory exclusively for Tatuaje.
