Hey guys,

I have seen a few cabinets from punch that are marked from 2000 and they all have that extra quality seal on them. I have read that in 2000 there were many batches that were bad and instead of trashing them the companies would sort them and check and try to fix issues and then when they got the ok slap that quality seal on the box. My question is: do you think a cabinet of these cigars are going to be any good or a 600 dollar box of 50 crappy CC that barely passed normal inspection?

2000 was the worst year for plugged cigars, and Punch was the worst offender. Personally, I wouldn't gamble on those odds, let alone with $600.

I once bought 2 25 ct boxes of Punch DC. Some where great ond some where quite flat. I only buy cubans from 99-01 if I am getting a really good del.

PASS. You are much better off getting newer box codes and aging them yourself. There is a reason there is 99 and 00 inventory out there.
Agree 100% New production is top quality & aging them yourself assures proper storage- unless you don't store them well & that's on you.!
