Cabs...

Cabs come in both 25 and 50 count? I was always under the impression they only came in 50 count, but I'm guessing some call SLBs Cabs as well?


Is it all dependent on the individual cigar? For instance, I know RyJ Ex. NO. 4s come in 25 ct dress boxes and 50 count slide lid Cabs. They don't also come in 25ct SLBs do they?

there are others that do the same. obviously HdM Epicures are like that... and all JL Sel #1s and 2s. also, the BBF comes in a SLB and dress box of 25...
i'm sure there are many others, i don't know of them all though, sorry.

but, no, not all other cigars come in a SLB of 25 or dress box.

Punch RS#12 come in a SLB....Cohiba Robustos do also. Actually I think most Cohibas come in some form of a SLB. This is based off of the ones I've seen for sale in Germany. So I don't know if ALL of them do, but I know quite a few....

Really wish they all did. I'm sure it's cheaper for them to produce the regular boxes...I just prefer the all wood look. I've seen the Cohiba Robustos Cab. That's what originally through me off. I looked at it, said to myself "cab", then noticed it was a 25 count. This was a while ago, so I've since learned that there are plenty of 25 count SLBs, just interesting as to which cigars they package that way.

All hand made Hoyo du Montereys come in slide top wooden boxes.
All come in 25 ct and some of them come in 50 ct as well.
They have a couple MMs that come in a dress box.

All Cohibas come in varnished boxes:
Some are "slide top" boxes.
Some are "brass hinged" boxes with a brass snapping lock.

No my friend, that is incorrect.
Cabs come in 25 and 50.
It just refers to an all wood box slide top box.

I've always inferred that cabs come with a ribbon around the cigars. That is, unless you are talking about 898's.

Sorry, incorrect. Short Coronas come in a dress box, as do the EL Piramides.

The Cohiba Sig I's come in a varnished SLB cab of 25. Bundled with a yellow Cohiba ribbon, which by the way makes an excellent bookmark when they're all gone.
