Went to the monthly cigar tasting/social hour at my local shop last night.
They were handing out free Camacho Coyolars.

First impression - terrible
Later impression - it got worse the longer I smoked it.

Several other attendees asked if it got any better. The concensus of those I was talking with was to throw it away and light up something else.

The Camacho's are a very very strong smoke. I remember the SLR kicking my ass a bit

I used to really like the regular Camacho Corojo...then they changed the blend and made it stronger, too. Now I still like the flavor, but they're overpowerig.

I have no idea what their facination is INSANELY-STRONG cigars is all about. They are capable of making a damn-good cigar, but more often than not they ruin them with too much strength.

Camacho's are too strong for me. I prefer taste and balance over full out strength. I remember Jose Padron basically making fun of companies like Camacho who know nothing of balance. But if strength is your thing, by all means smoke em up.

I totally agree - I've tried only a few Camacho's but haven't really enjoyed any of them.

Same here, I haven't tried one since my last because it was so brash and harsh

I like Camacho's in general, but not the Coyolar...I'd rather have my dick slammed in a door than smoke another one of them...

Yeah. Coylar is a real miss. Super strong, harsh. I have tried three which is my norm...pass. I will say the Camacho rep said they might reformat but that was a while ago.
