  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

So I'm wondering what you guys think of the Camacho Executive Travel Case sampler (the doctor-bag looking one with 20 cigars, including 4 Liberty '07s). I've seen this on sale here and there and was always intrigued, but checked it out at my B&M this week and it actually looks really cool and the bag would make a great travel case. It was on "sale" for $225 there, I passed.

I just noticed that it's on special for Father's Day at Mike's Cigars right now for just $125.95

So what do you guys think? I really shouldn't get it in a way, because I've never tried any of these sticks...then again, isn't that what samplers are for? I know I'm a sucker for packaging, so please dissuade me if this isn't a good deal. Thanks!

Never been real big on Camocho's but for about $6.30 a stick and you still get a neat carrier, hey why not?

if i wasn't strapped right now, i'd probably bite.............

Yea, that's kind of my thing too. I've spent my cigar budget for the year already and am saving up to split a box of the Dracs...and now I want a 10-pack of the Petite Reservas, lol.

I probably have one of the sticks in this sampler lying around somewhere, I'll look and give it a try first.

I'm a function over form guy. If I'm going out for a smoke, I bring my 5 cigar "cigar caddy". If I'm going to a herf, I bring my 10 cigar "cigar caddy". If I'm going on vacation, I bring both.

Can't comment on the smokes, but if you already blew your budget, sounds like saving for what you know you want is the ticket.

Hehe. I know what you mean. I always seem to spend my monthly cigar budget one or two months before that month gets here.

Wouldn't you like to know?
I bought it about a year ago and while the cigars aren't bad they aren't really special either. One thing I did find is they are all a little loosely rolled for my liking. As much as I was hoping something would be very exciting but nothing really worked for me.

Looks like a fun item. I stick with otterboxes and the travel humidors I have bought from Ron. When I travel, I beat the hell out my travel humis. It just happens. I know my sticks are safe and sound. I have sat on my 50 and smoked cigars on the curb in many, many airports; no harm done.

I am sure the one you are looking at is cool but I like "industructible".

That's a good point, I hadn't thought that through. I have a little 5-stick hard case and I love that I can toss it in a bag and not worry at all. I like this case a lot, but I can probably trade for an empty one from someone at some point.

Okay gang...thanks for talking me out of this! It's very easy for me to let envy take control in the area of cigars, which is a bad thing. I appreciate the help!
