  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Can you explain these tobacco's?

Hi everyone: I have been smoking a pipe for close to 3,000 years (40 actually). But I still don't know what the following are: Danish, Oriental, Dutch and Norwegian. I got these descriptions most recently from Peter Stokkebye selection. I like their tobacco, usually virginia and burley mixes. If you can tell me, I appreciate it. Thanks - RD

Ok, I will try. They are confusing to me so I will do my best.

Those blends are a pipe cut of their ryo tobaccos. To me the names make no sense.

Danish Export is just virginias blended together.
Norwegian Shag is a blend of burleys and Virginias
Amsterdam Shag is dark fired Kentucky with virginias
Stockholm blend is virginias with a little dark fired Kentucky
Turkish blend is Samsun with virginias
London export is what they call a traditional English with virginias

Like I said these are their ryo and the pipe tobacco of these blends are just a coarser cut of the same blend.

Hope that helps.
