The first one I had I thought was kind of bland, I just had one today I could have swornd would put a Partagas Black to shame! O.O

So much for reviewing these cigars tonight.

Even when I did smoke n/c's, the CAO Gold was very bland and mild with no characteristics, IMO.

CAO gold....rather any "gold" rarely does it for me. CAO doesn't make the best cigars in the world, but they definitely have better than that line imo.

I only have experince w/CAO Soprano's, which means I have nothing to contribute about the CAO Gold. I just felt like posting for the added count.

how can a cao blond Connecticut shade wrapper be compared to a partagas black maduro wrapper? That's like comparing steak to chicken!!!!! If you can get some CAO gold with some age on them they are fantastic!! Very creamy but still mild!!!!

The blacks are great smokes. I also like the CAO maduro red labels and the anniversario Gold labels. The CAO Anniversario Gold labels (not plain CAO Gold) are very good smokes IMO, cocoa/creamy...

CAO Golds are one of the first boxes of cigars I bought (2002). Smoked the last one about a month ago. As ophus siad above with some age they are very creamy and mild. Good change of pace from what I normally smoke.

My CAO favorites are the Brazilias and the Gold Tubed Anniversaries. I have smoked 3 of the Anniversaries and would count it among my top 3 favorite cigars I have smoked, now if I could just find some more of them.
