Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.
I got one at the IPCRP show this year and as you said, it is a great looking stick. Redish hue, nice aroma, but overall the stick left me wanting more.I can't bear to smoke it yet, hahaha! It's just so pretty, sitting there in my humi....

:stretchgrThat's pretty cool. The mods merged two threads together. I tried a search on the CAO LX2 before I started a new thread and nothing came up. Thanks for the merge guys.
So I smoked the LX2 Toro like I said I was.
A few things to mention:
1. It does not compare to the LFD DL line.
2. What's up with the ugly double cap?
3. You still need to eat before smoking this.
4. Not bad overall but not something to run out and buy a box of.
The ash was weak and dark grey with a weird burn that always corrected itself. The draw was very good. The flavors were mostly leather, small amounts of spice from time to time and some cocoa flavors near the end. They are worth a shot but didn't really fit my palatte.
I wouldn't say that I have ever had another cigar that tastes like an LX2. I agree with you here that it is not a strong cigar.just another post-smoke observation: if you were thinking that ligero X 2 was going to be a really spicy smoke... i didn't find that at all to be the case. but i still thought it was way delicious in a totally different way than an LFD DL (which I love as well).
I'm a CAO-ho as well, but I have yet to try the LX2. To many people here on the board, they are NOT a strong cigar. Then again, those same people suck down LFDs multiple times a day, so "strong" is a bit of a relative term, lol.Sounds like it's gonna be a strong cigar. Not sure I'll care for it, but I'll try it anyway. I'm a big CAO fan. The Criollo is my favorite.
