  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

I can't bear to smoke it yet, hahaha! It's just so pretty, sitting there in my humi....

I got one at the IPCRP show this year and as you said, it is a great looking stick. Redish hue, nice aroma, but overall the stick left me wanting more.

Yes the power is there, yes there is some flavor, but was a little on the one dimensional side. I smoked it in July so I wish I could remember more, but that is all I got... sorry.

PB, I vote smoke it now while no one else has, because sooner or later they will be all over the place.

I just picked up the Toro last night and was wondering if anyone has tried these yet. I have to admit that is a beautiful looking stick. Maybe I'll smoke it on the way to work today.

Smoked an LX2 about a week ago.

One dimensional, but here's the catch- I loved that flavor SO much that I burned my fingers trying to get every single puff out of the thing that I could.

Very much recommended. I would give it an 85/100, easy.

Just came in from smoking one (my first.) Totally agree with Bear and Cyrann; not very complex, but dang what flavor! I too kept huffing it, it tasted so good. Mine had some burn issues. Never went out, but it was kind of an ugly burn. I didn't feel like it was strong at all, but now sitting here typing this I realized that I totally forgot to eat lunch...and now I'm feeling it. arrrgh. Still, i have one more waiting in the humi and there is definitely a box in my future.

delicious.

That's pretty cool. The mods merged two threads together. I tried a search on the CAO LX2 before I started a new thread and nothing came up. Thanks for the merge guys.

So I smoked the LX2 Toro like I said I was.

A few things to mention:

1. It does not compare to the LFD DL line.

2. What's up with the ugly double cap?

3. You still need to eat before smoking this.

4. Not bad overall but not something to run out and buy a box of.

The ash was weak and dark grey with a weird burn that always corrected itself. The draw was very good. The flavors were mostly leather, small amounts of spice from time to time and some cocoa flavors near the end. They are worth a shot but didn't really fit my palatte.

just another post-smoke observation: if you were thinking that ligero X 2 was going to be a really spicy smoke... i didn't find that at all to be the case. but i still thought it was way delicious in a totally different way than an LFD DL (which I love as well).

I wouldn't say that I have ever had another cigar that tastes like an LX2. I agree with you here that it is not a strong cigar.

Sounds like it's gonna be a strong cigar. Not sure I'll care for it, but I'll try it anyway. I'm a big CAO fan. The Criollo is my favorite.

I'm a CAO-ho as well, but I have yet to try the LX2. To many people here on the board, they are NOT a strong cigar. Then again, those same people suck down LFDs multiple times a day, so "strong" is a bit of a relative term, lol.

Somehow we have had these in stock for over a month now. I agree with most of what has been said, pretty one dimensional and a medium full cigar in my opinion. However, I felt the flavor was quite good. I am certainly not a CAO fan but this is a CAO stick that i can smoke and enjoy. Just tried the Lancero for the first time yesterday and it was quite nice as well. Overall I think it is a good stick but certainly does not live up to the hype of being a ass kicking double ligero.

Smoked a few of these myself.. I'm not a big CAO fan but I did enjoy these and would buy them again as a change of pace. Good flavor, decent power with a spicy somewhat sweet taste.

IMO for a change of pace it's a good stick my favorite from the CAO line.

after smoking a couple of these bad boy, I decided that I am not a big fan of them. They are very one dimensional. CAO bypassed any quality of flavor or dimension, they simplily went for the most potent mind numbing strength they could possibly develop. I think this stick would be a great trick to play on some friend who want to try a "strong" cigar, and watch him turn green after about 1/3 of the way through. But other than that that is it. However I did see a LX2 humidor, and two bundles of Lx2 LANCERO'S! I would try those Lances any day of the week though.
