  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Three sizes released, CI is back ordered already on them (or waiting first shipment). I spoke with Carlos about these last Spring and he said they would be very close to the Triubute 04. Get em while you can, four years has been too long!

Copied from the Web:

Torano Tribute, 2008. One of the most anticipated new handmades of the year. At play, an exquisite recipe of 5-year old tobaccos. A lusciously dark Brazilian Mata Fina leaf graces the premium Nicaraguan long-fillers from Esteli and Jalapa. Dark, toothy and oily, this beautiful cigar glistens in the light. Utilizing ultra-select wrapper leaves that have been triple-fermented for optimum flavor, the Tribute ’08 delivers a medium to full-bodied bouquet of smooth, exquisite, and perfectly balanced flavors. Packaged in gorgeous Spanish cedar boxes, each individually numbered, this is the ultimate Torano cigar to have, and savor. Available in three classic vitolas, only 1,200 boxes were created in each size, making this an extremely limited cigar.

You got me hooked on the last Toranos you sent me. I've since ordered a box of 1916 coronas and have bought a couple of Noventas, but I can't pull off a whole box yet. You'll be receiving a big thank you for your efforts. Along with some others who have been so kind. I'll be looking for these as soon as they hit.

Those 04 Maduro's were really great cigars. Easily the best Torano has ever made, at least in my eyes.

I hope they are right about the blend being so close.

Does anyone besides me worry about the quality as Torano is now part of a HUGE company?

Not really, CT makes all the cigars for CAO except the Vision, If not all the cigars for Gurkha, almost all of them as well, plus their own brand and who knows what else. CAO buying them was a good pairing, a great marketing company with a great cigar maker. I doubt we will see any changes in the cigars, they will just be marketed better.

Wow, I really want to try these! There is also a Virtuoso Lancero coming out, which I want to try as well.

Torano is a company that's really growing on me of late.

My local has had signs up for months saying that they're getting these in, but they have yet to arrive and the guy I talked to just said "soon."

Had one of these about two weeks ago - Great stick, I really want to get some more. Had a dark-chocolate taste that kept reappearing throughout.
Atlantic has some of these... well worth it.
