  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

I thought the Casa Magna was alright, and it's priced well, but I don't plan on running out and buying them. Far too many other things I'd rather buy, I'm afraid.

well, from the local buzz this cigar was suppose to be "overrated" etc. but, I actually enjoyed this cigar 3/4; the rest was left for the ashtray. I would put this cigar in for my morning smoke, sweet tasting for the first one, the second one was spicy.
Thanks for the clarification, there, Kumar. I got one of these from Hendy in a bomb recently and am looking forward to trying it...but I've learned to try not to put expectations on a cigar the first time I smoke it. That's led to a lot of unfair judgments of a stick and disappointment at times (LA Perferido...great stick, but I expected too much).

In fact, now when I get a well-hyped stick (Tempus, El Triunfador) or one that I've really wanted to try for a while (La Riqueza) I hang onto it a while just so that I'm not overly psyched to smoke it and expect something that the cigar probably can't fulfill.

Nate I Agree. I hate when I expect a expensive cigar to practically give me head and all I do is walk away empty handed! I mean com'on that was 20 bucks I just dropped!!!!!!

and if the casa magna had been a $10 stick, you'd be real p.o.'d. there are just so many good cigars out there right now i hate to waste money on trying a stick that i know nothing about. i'd rather let some of YOU guys do that!!!! then i'll bite based on recommendations. i mean, who wouldn't buy a box based on wiggy's reviews!!!:sarcastic

Casa Magna is a nice every day smoke. Saving cigars for the perfect moment is over rated. Enjoy them now.
