I would have split the 1993 Bolivar Corona Gigantes for what is roughly $750 US. Maybe only a 3 pack, but I'd easily pay $100 for that.

Do you think perhaps your friends got some poorly kept cigars?
Were they a mild brand?
Do your friends regularly smoke Nica powerhouses?
Until you have a properly kept aged Cuban,you have not experienced the magic.
Again,why would people pay the prices at auction if they were getting "nothing"?
This is a short explanation,trying to give all the background is not possible here, try reading about Cuban cigars and find out for yourself....

Funny I was gonna post a thread too. They have auctions a few times a year. Man I would love to have some of the Cohibas from 80's and 90's. Hell really any of them.

why didn't you include this in your original post?
Of course I will always believe a cigar maker trying to survive in all the competition when he says an aged Cuban "tastes like nothing"
and of course everyone working in a cigar store has an educated palate.
Please forgive me...........

I Had at least one of the SLB Cabs with the same factory code and year. Who knew it would of tripled in price over 7 years!?!?
