All personal preference brother. Some like "wetter", some like "drier". If you like how your sticks are smoking then stick with that!

I first started with 70% Heartfelt beads but some sticks had burn issues and i started getting a little mold on the cedar wrapped sticks. I changed everything out to the 65% beads and all is good now. Cigars are smoking better and the little mold I had on the wrapper of the cedar wrapped sticks cleared up as well. So for me it will be 65% beads from here on out. I live in South Louisiana Im sure that had alot to do with it too but 65% has cleared all my problems so far.

I had my cigars crack when I smoked them at 65% but that was in a humidor and not a wineador. For a 18 bottle wineador do u think 1/2 pound is good or should I get more if I want to go the 65 route

I might do 70 in the winter and 65 in the summer
Can I ask why?

65% means 65% regardless of the time of year. OUTSIDE of your humidor, the % is changing.
Always thought that depended on how often u opened your humidor as well and that on more humid climates the humidity was easier to maintain than in more arid climates if you opened it frequently

I generally keep mine set at 65% although that seems to range from 63%-67% all of which I am fine with. It depends on where they are at in the humidor.

As far as beads go I would get double the recommended amount on Heartfelts website. This will help with stability and faster recovery when you are in and out of your humidor. I used beads on my first humidor and found that using double the recommended amount seemed to keep better stability especially in the winter.

My theory is anything between 65-70. I try to keep mine right about 69-68. If its to humid 75 or around that then you may end up with a beetle problem in your cc.

60/60 in my long term aging humi that gets opened maybe 4 times a year (i inspect inventory once per quarter). 65% in my smoking humidor that gets opened multiple times per day. i would keep it lower but i just open it too much.

I'm at 65/65 in both vinodors. One is for CC's & the other NC's... as I get more into this hobby I seem to be buying more CC's to age and less NC's.

I can see one turning into long term storage in the not too distant future.
