cigar butts and gardening

I averaage about two cigars a day. What I have been doing now that the weather is better is putting the butts in the mulch that's around the perrienals. Is this okay? I mean it is just leaves, but smoking does concentarate them somewhat. Any ideas? Thanks. jep:cbig:

I toss them into the bushes, or dig them into the rose beds...I figure it's great mulch.

I don't know if they really are good as the ash concentration might be a bit much over time, but the wife and my mother smoke cigarettes and we all just ash/butt in the ashtrays.

We save ours over the winter then check em into the garden. It's great for it.

Actually Fuente sells you tobacco dust for gardening purposes in 1lb bags. I can't see how it could be bad they say it keeps the bugs away amongst balancing the Ph in your soil and shit like that.

Ash balances soil PH, but (depending on how far you nub your cigars) there isn't much ash content in a cigar butt.

I dump my ashtray, ashes and butts into the compost. Its almost as good as Miracle Grow!
