Cigar Smoking In A Casino

I was in a place called Wisconsin Dells this past weekend and brought two cigars along, one for myself and one for my brother. We went to the Ho-Chunk Casino about 5 miles from the dells and lit up about 30 minutes after we arrived.

I was smoking a Rocky Patel Sun Grown and my brother smoked a Gurkha Castle Hall. Unfortunately from being out of the humidor (and my not checking on the humidor ofter enough) the cigars were dry and smoked fast. However I did get quite a joy out of smoking a cigar while playing the slots, is there anyone else out there that has a story like this that they would like to share?

This is close to how my bro looked smoking :ccowboy:

Not like that down here. Most of the casinos here have decent humidors in all of the shops, some even have walk in humidors. Last time I was in one, I was smoking a Tat SW while playing the slots and the lady smoking a cigarette behind me called an attendant over and complained that my cigar smoke was bothering her. He looked at her and laughed and said "Well mam, I suggest you find another machine". I nearly fell out of my chair laughing!

My home casino is the Ameristar in St Charles Missouri ... being able to smoke a cigar is one of the main reasons I go there. If you gamble in Illinois -you don't smoke AT ALL in a casino - totally smoke free.

But Vegas is a great place too. We're taking a National Park tour in June (to celebrate my wifes retiring from DoD Civil Service) and we're hitting Tahoe and Vegas. Vegas has some great local sticks that are good to burn.

Me and my girlfriend won a pool tournament and get to go to Vegas to compete. I will bring a couple and buy a couple while I'm there. We will be staying at the Reviera- anyone know of a good b&m around there?

Same here. Crazy because the interiors are so smoke-filled I can hardly breathe. The good news is that Casino Arizona has a nice patio for cigar smoking. Nice enough that I go there to relax with a smoke even though I don't gamble.

I was in atlantic city and the Ceasers palace Security dude told me to please take my cigar outside, It was apparently bothering some old lady playing the slots...who as I put my stick out, noticed she was smoking a cancer stick...So I guess it's Cigerettes good, Monte #2 bad!!!!

Here in Colorado they've outlawed smoking indoors... everywhere! I knew something was up when I could breath in the bowling alley. Now I don't like smoking indoors or other people doing it around me, but this pissed me off. Its the principle of the matter.. ye conservatives know where I'm coming from.

No problem smoking in the casinos here in PA, they got the okay to expand the smoking area from 25% of the floor space to 40%! as they proved the machines in the smoking section make more money than the ones in non-smoking area. The only thing that sucks is you want anything harder than black coffee you have to pay for it.

Burn through a couple sticks whenever I'm throwing the dice around... usually someone will give me a glare, but if they don't like it they can move to a non-smoking table... some casinos in Reno have bans against cigars at the tables... I don't lose my money there... :stretchgr

Interesting! I'm in St. Louis and usually go to "The Hill". Haven't been to the Ameristar yet. Working on a development in O'Fallon, so I pass the casino several times a week.

I lived in Vegas for several months and loved to smoke in the casinos. I usually puffed on cigarillos while at a slot machine, but LOVED to go to a conjac and cigar lounge in the Paris called Napoleon's.
