Some of you may have heard the rumor that Cigarnival is not happening this year. For those that were excited to attend, I am sorry to say that the rumor is true. But it's not all bad. Let me explain,
Many of you have been coming to every Cigarnival from the start, back in those modest days when it was simply known as…“the barbecue.” And every year since, we’ve had a blast celebrating with the dozens, hundreds, and eventually thousands of the Famous Faithful like you who have been a part of the festivities. Words can’t begin to describe our appreciation for the loyalty you’ve shown us; which brings us to this past year.
Cigarnival 2015 had it all: the most people ever under one tent, the most free premium cigars we’ve ever handed out, the most cigar manufacturers ever in attendance. This one was the biggest show we’ve ever done.
But as someone else said once, somewhere, “all good things must come to an end.”
Here’s the deal: our goal every year with Cigarnival was to give you the most bang for your buck possible - add something new every year, make it better, get more friends to come, and give you even more chances to talk to the folks responsible for making your favorite cigars. But the thing about Cigarnival is that it’s become so big, that one-on-one experience you’ve enjoyed is starting to get lost in the mix. And if Cigarnival got any bigger, we’d have to move it to another location – that wouldn’t be much fun, considering how few cigar-friendly places there are these days. So we’re going to try something different.
For 2016, the Cigarnival as you know it will be no more. Instead, we’ll be planning a steady stream of VIP-quality events where everyone gets the top-notch treatment they deserve, and retain the best that Cigarnival has had to offer. You’ll have better access to the cigar makers. You’ll get high-quality cigar events that feature live entertainment and giveaways. We’ll do our part to kick in more high-end swag, spirits, surprises, giveaways and – even more importantly – fat discounts on premium cigars.
Thanks again for your support and loyalty to Cigarnival – it’s been a good run. And for now, stay tuned…we’ll have details coming soon on the Next Big Thing at Famous Smoke Shop!
