Cigars and the New Year

I am looking forward to getting my new wineador up and running and filling it with the best cigars I can get my hands on.

Tells us about your cigar strategy for the New Year????

Installing a new control board in my empty vintemp that I got for free.. Control board cost me $45. So a 12 bottle cooler for $45... I'll take it.

Then I plan on buying a few boxes and getting it filled up with some favorites.

My cabinet is getting pretty empty so id like to stock up in the next few months. My plan is to save up for boxes of my favorites, which means probably buying less overall but having my great cigars on hand! Im going for quality over quantity if I can.

I think I am going to do more full boxes over 5ers and box splits myself this year.

Probably the same as for 2010...buy more, smoke more. Probably pic up more 5ers and box splits over box purchases. I would like to stock up on more of my favorites though.

No buy less / smoke less options??

Don't plan on smoking less per se, but buying less....yeah, that one I'd like to follow through on.

I want to clean out my cooler and find all the cigars that I'm not likely to grab for a smoke, and send them to the troops. I have a lot of good cigars from samplers, that just aren't to my current tastes. Time to get them to people that will appreciate them.

Yeah that would have been a good option.

Plus I should have done a:

Can't buy better, have no room, I am smoking as fast as I can

option

Wouldn't you like to know?
My plan will be to buy less but buy better. Only things I plan to pick any time soon will be Jar and humidor releases. Really trying to smoke through my singles and stay outta the boxes till I clear up room.

I have become a cigar box tetris enthusiast with my 35 bottle vino... but I should be getting drawers and shelves within the next week or two. That should allow me to reorganize... and I'll see how much more I can fit in there! :frownno:

More targeted purchasing/collecting, more organized aging, and more burning!

I plan to buy better cigars to let start aging. Slowing starting to smoke more often but still in the constraints that I can financially afford to do so.

Variety is the spice of life! More of the same, trying old & new sticks mixing it up and smoking a little more! Can't wait till spring...

Since I've pretty much finally figured out what I like and what I don't, buying less and smoking better is probably what I'll be doing.

I voted "Other".

I smoked over 800 cigars this past year. I am a cheap bastard, but I still spent at least $4,000 for cigars. With my current habit, I would have to come up with some more income. If you like good cigars, smoke at least 16 cigars a week, and you want to have a significant stash... you better have significant discretionary income.

In past years, I have been able to pull it off. However, the past two years have been kind of tight.

Smoke more.

I have some "Aged" and some "Better" but I just haven't had the time I'd like to dedicate to them.
