  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Cigars that are better when bigger?

So I was in chat talking about H Upmann Connie A's, and realized they're one of my favorites in the H Upmann lineup, which surprised me because I think of myself as a fan of smaller RGs, and corona gordas are my favorite vitola.

I've smoked a couple Warped Futuro 109's (torpedo), and have found them to be more balanced than the Suprema (corona gorda). I had the same experience with a Sobremesa; the Cervantes Fino (corona gorda) was really good, but the El Americano (toro) was even better.

What cigars have you found to be better in the larger vitolas than the smaller vitolas?

I feel the same way about the smaller RG's. I really haven't found anything outside of the CC (Cohiba and Monte specifically) that I enjoy better in a larger RG.

For me, the decision of size boils down to time.... If I don't have enough time to smoke down to the nub then it is just a waste.

Almost all Connecticut wrapped cigars are better in a larger RG for me.
