downtown, go with strauss. over a century in town. good guys by and large. or drop south of the river to party source, bellevue KY (bellevue and newport are on the river on my side), good selection, no appreciable lounge BUT have an understanding with a local bar or two, just ask. AND really killer booze selection. place is warehouse sized! want to go north of the I275 loop, find jungle jim's, great selection (if elderboy has not bought them out), AND great booze selection, AND great food selection.
