Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.
I’ve never tried chocolate for that purpose before, but something about it just seems to make sense. Definitely going to give that a try soon.I second everything Nate said. I'll also say chocolate for a palette reset, and ginger ale to cleanse it. Either one or both can help, but if your mood is off it won't matter. I smoke certain cigars depending on my mood as I've noticed over time what works for me at what times.
Maybe take notes when you smoke. You really liked it? Why? What did you eat how long before it? What were you drinking? What was your mood? Figure those things out and you'll notice over time too.

For some, a semi-sweet dark chocolate works better than milk chocolate.I’ve never tried chocolate for that purpose before, but something about it just seems to make sense. Definitely going to give that a try soon.

The bourbon may also just make it such that you won't have too much care as wellGenerally a bit of sparkling water or water with a bit of lemon will get my palate primed for a cigar. Using an SLS ( sodium lauryl sulfate.) free toothpaste may help improve your palate over the long term.
I also find that a couple of good pours of bourbon before and during a smoke will improve my palate (and mood) for maximum enjoyment of a cigar.
