Just saw this on the Dappered blog and ordered one:

The kit includes a burr grinder, an Aeropress (if you haven't used one, they're amazing), and some coffee from Nica. For $45, worth checking out--the grinder alone costs that much, and the Aeropress costs about $20. (Worth more IMHO, we have already killed one Aeropress at home through frequent use.)

Do note that this is a subscription service, so if you want just this box, you have to cancel afterwards. Also, the Roast boxes are backordered. But I figured some of the coffee-loving brothers here might find it interesting.

I've been thinking of getting the "box of awesome" subscription for some time. The problem I had was by the time I got the email alert and decided to join, anything I wanted to sign up for was sold out. I pulled the trigger on this one, and it arrived yesterday.

I would say the grinder and press are better than described. I haven't made the coffee yet, but I tasted a few beans and they seemed bitter. We'll see once I brew a cup.

Over all, very, very happy with what I got and I'm looking forward to more "boxes of awesome".

If anyone is interested, here's a referral link; I get $10 off the next box if I refer a friend. http://bespokepost.com/r/27cad4

Glad to hear the grinder looks good. As I said, I've used an Aeropress for a long time and needed a new one, quality there is definitely good. I hope the beans turn out well, let me know how the coffee tastes!
